Noel has a very broad range of experience in a wide range of industries from small business through to large enterprises and to a broad industry base.

Seasoned safety specialist with fourteen Mega Projects and HSE Manager of numerous Major Project experience spanning 30 + years as an experienced professional in a variety of industries, including but not limited to;

Russell Martin – Training Developer & Facilitator – Member Institute of Learning Practitioners

After 20 years in the Australian Defense Force, he now utilises his experience and knowledge as a technician, safety advisor, facilitator and training developer to meet the needs of private and government organisations predominantly in the Mining and Utility Industries.

His military career saw him experience high tempo exercises in Australia and globally, working in specialised teams and in some unfamiliar environments. Russell then turned to instructing and found a passion in developing peoples’ skills. Attaining his vocational qualifications in training and development, undertaking critical roles, carrying out learning needs analysis, training design and development, assessment and evaluation methods on several military projects including foreign weapon integration, confined space entry, and promotional skills requirements.

With the art of facilitation, Russell’s last few years in the military involved training middle and senior managers in leadership and management skills. This included delivering on self-awareness, team and individual development, communication, emotional intelligence, counselling, conflict resolution, coaching, mentoring, change management and interpersonal relationships. As a senior facilitator, Russell also trained and coached others in facilitation skills such as effective presentations, group and individual debriefing, experiential and adventure learning, adult learning principles, human behaviors, NLP, and delivering effective feedback.

Michelle Monaghan – Training Developer & Facilitator

With a 20 year background in workplace health and safety, in 2008 Michelle joined ASLS as a workplace health and safety consultant and training facilitator. Since that time Michelle has been tasked with many projects including extensive roles in the mining industry, including conducting risk assessments with a cross section of business and workers, developing Standard Operating Procedures compliant with the legislation, as well as consultation to determine current work practices and compliance to current and new legislative requirements including but not limited to the current QLD Coal Mining Safety & Health Act 1999 & Regulations 2001 and QLD Work Health & Safety Act & Regulations 2011.

Michelle has a wide range of expertise and skills to assist all clients and course attendees in achieving their training goals and objectives as well as contributing to their ongoing ability to assist clients towards achieving and ensuring health and safety integrity assurance.

Trix Burgess – Trainer /Assessor & Safety Consultant

Trix comes to ASLS with over 10 years of safety training experience and is dedicated to providing exceptional safety training. She gains considerable personal satisfaction from supporting individuals in developing their full potential through learning and development initiatives. Trix uses highly effectively coaching skills along with subject matter knowledge to enable individuals to reach their personal and professional goals.

Trix has an inspirational and engaging training style, she is able to build strong relationships and develop an instant rapport with learners.  Her training is practical, participative & fun.
