AuditOur audit services are client focussed and used by organisations to assess their compliance with health and safety. The audits we conduct are as varied as the industries we work in. Examples of the types of audit we conduct are: Compliance AuditsCompliance audits examine client's safety systems and field and workplace implementation of work procedures in accordance with agreed criteria. The criteria can be based on legislation, Australian Standards, or client's systems. A confidential report is presented that addresses each criteria item and can include recommendations to manage any non-conformances identified. This service is offered to all industries. Due Diligence AuditsDue diligence requires that employers, managers, supervisors and others understand and carry out their legal duties, assess the risk in their workplaces, and take all reasonable precautions with respect to those risks. Evidence of reasonable diligence is a defence available to a director or person concerned with the management of a corporation charged with an offence under a health and safety Act. ASLS can assess an organisation's ability to demonstrate due diligence. We will examine a number of key elements ranging from health and safety policy and programmes, obligations of employers and others, joint consultation, management of contractors, risk management, instruction and training, communication, through to notification and recording of accidents. Due diligence is a pro-active management tool which will foster the careful and systematic management of workplace risk and prevent costly injuries and illnesses at work. |
