Job Safety Analysis

Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is an essential tool for safety management. The employer must be able to demonstrate an established and documented system of risk assessment that identifies hazards and, where necessary, implements control measures to reduce the risk to an acceptable level.

JSA provides the management tool for identification, assessment and control of hazards where potential loss exposure is present in the work. The outcome of the JSA can be represented in safe work method statements. A JSA provides qualitative and quantitative information to enable management to make informed decisions on the need for appropriate work procedures, special rules and skills training.

The JSA provides specific information for:
