39065QLD Course in Site Safety and Health RepresentativeBoth the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999 and the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 require that mine sites will have a Site Safety and Health Representative available in individual mining sites. This course is accredited to provide the necessary skills and knowledge to persons requiring this qualification. The course consists of the following three modules:
It should be noted that completion of all competencies does not automatically provide the learner with a position as Site Safety and Health Representative. Persons undertaking this role will be elected or selected for that position based on the individual organisation's criteria. These three modules are also supervisor competencies. AssessmentThese courses are site-specific and the individual Client Mine Site Senior Executive's safety management system will be used as part of the assessment criteria.
