Management and Supervisors

This 2-day training course is designed to provide manager/supervisor with the skills and knowledge to allow them to effectively manage workplace health and safety at the workplace, and to participate in joint consultation on health and safety issues.

Who will benefit from this training?

Any person at the workplace who has management or supervisory responsibility for the health and safety performance of the business will benefit from attending this course.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the training the manager / supervisor will be able to:

• apply the principles of modern health and safety legislation;
• comply with workplace health and safety obligations;
• describe the components of a typical workplace health and safety policy and program;
• apply risk management strategies;
• investigate loss exposure incidents and decide on control measures; and
• participate in consultation with workers' representatives at the workplace.

Assessment

Assessment will be based on completion of confirmation exercises at the conclusion of each session.

Client Specific Course

We conduct courses specifically for clients. These can be at the client's premises, providing the training facility is an adequate size for the group, and in a quiet location suited to training. The premises will need to include tables and chairs for each participant, a whiteboard, and a surface suited for data projection.

We can also conduct the training at our Brendale premises where we can accommodate up to 20 people in our larger room.
