Course 30630QLD – Course in Functioning as a Workplace Health and Safety Representative (WHSR)

This new course is designed for Workplace Health and Safety Representatives. On successful completion of the course, learners will have acquired the skills and knowledge to enable them to fulfil the role of a workplace health and safety representative as set down in section 81 (1) of the Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995.

The course is also suitable for Safety Committee members who require an understanding of the WHS legislation.

Who will benefit from this training?

Any worker elected as a WHS Representative who wishes to gain knowledge and skill about the legislation and how to perform their role.
Any person who is on the WHS Committee for their workplace who wishes to gain knowledge and skill about the legislation and how to perform their role.
An employer of the above Representatives and Committee Members, as active participation and consultation can assist the management of safety issues at their workplace.

Competency Standard

The units of competency fully addressed in this course are:

Course Outcomes

Participants that complete all units to achieve the course outcomes will receive a Statement of Attainment.

Course Delivery

The course is conducted over three days.

The trainers delivering this course are experienced workplace health and safety professionals with practical experience in industry. All trainers are approved by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland to deliver course 30596QLD Course in Functioning as a Workplace Health and Safety Officer.
